You may have noticed the OWB (Orlando Wine Blog) events post has been on a bit of a hiatus lately. Hey, life happens, and it’s unpredictable … just like the coming week of Orlando wine events! There’s lots going on, without much rhyme or reason or theme. So stop raiding your kid’s Halloween candy stash, and get out there and enjoy the vin-tastic mayhem. Here are some highlights to whet your appetite.

Tomorrow (Saturday), Wine Bar George hosts winemaker Johannes Selbach for a lunch featuring eight of his rieslings from Germany’s Mosel region.

Sunday, Tim’s Lake Mary hosts a Spanish wine dinner at K Restaurant in College Park.

Tuesday, winemaker Michael Honig presents his wines at a tasting at Tim’s Windermere.

Wednesday, Tim’s Orlando throws a big Champagne and sparkling tasting.

Thursday offers International Merlot Day events at Tim’s Lake Mary and Luisa’s Cellar, an Australian tasting at Swirlery, and a few more treats.

Friday, winemaker Stephanie Cook of Wonderment pours her wines at The Pharmacy.

Next Saturday, Tim’s Lake Mary is roasting a whole pig “Cuban Style” and pouring wines to pair with it.

Next Sunday, Tim’s Avalon Park holds a bubbles tasting, and Luisa’s Cellar hosts a Spanish wine dinner previewing dishes from La Femme du Fromage’s forthcoming North Quarter location.

See, I told you there was a lot!

Details are on the Calendar Page, along with many, many more events coming up later in November.

Happy Spooky Sipping, Orlando!
