Happy Black Friday!

Whether you’re shopping, watching sports, or sleeping off yesterday’s turkey, I hope you’re having a wonderful, wine-filled weekend of gratitude.

After a slight lull in Orlando’s holiday wine calendar, things take off again next week. There’s a Burgundy tasting, a dinner featuring Spain’s Toro region, and an extraordinarily geeky tannin class, to name just a few. Here are some highlights!

Orlando’s Week in Wine

Tuesday, join Burgundy expert Peter Wasserman of importer Becky Wasserman & Co. for a high quality, high value evening of Burgundy at Swirlery.

Wednesday, Wine Bar George’s first wine dinner features an in-depth study of Spain’s Toro region with guest Victor Ordonez of Spanish importer Jorge Ordonez Selections.

Thursday, there are two geeky wine events to choose from. Master of Wine Jean Reilly presents a master class in wine tannin at Swirlery (it involves nose clips!). And Tim’s Lake Mary-Sanford hosts a blind tasting comparison of red wines across the price spectrum.

Friday, explore the world of natural and organic wines and see how they pair with foods at Luisa’s Cellar.

Saturday, celebrate with BevFly’s annual Bubbles Bash, or get an education and a certification with Jean Reilly’s first two-day intensive WSET Level 2 class, held at Primo Restaurant at the Marriott Grande Lakes.

Visit the Events Page for details and for many more goings-on next week and in the weeks to come.

Cheers!
