It seems the summer lull is well and truly over for Orlando’s wine community. Next week’s calendar is brimming with tastings and classes competing for your time, attention, palate, and wallet.

It’s so busy, in fact, that I’m re-invoking my two daily events rule. I’ll highlight a maximum of two events per day here, but you can always find the full listing on the Wine Events Calendar page.

Without further ado, let’s get to the highlights of …

ORLANDO’S WEEK IN WINE

Monday, Central Florida Women for Winesense celebrates its fifth anniversary with a sold out tasting at Del Frisco’s.

Wednesday, The Pharmacy hosts winemaker Michael Kennedy presenting wines from his Component Wine Company and State of Mind Wines, and Boca Winter Park hosts an Italian wine dinner with Ethica Wines.

Thursday, Proper & Wild holds a wine class with CSW Chad Doss, and Tim’s Orlando hosts a tasting with six producers who’ll be in town for the Terroir Selections trade show.

Friday, Quantum Leap Winery throws a wine-paired seafood boil prepared by Cuisiners chef Jamie McFadden.

Next Sunday, Tim’s Avalon Park offers a class on South American wines, and Tim’s Windermere hosts a repeat of last month’s Wagner Family tasting.

Details for all these events and more are on the Calendar Page. Be sure to check out the other events on tap for next week, as well as wine affairs going all the way into September.

Cheers, Orlando!
